Cajun Court is not a Louisiana State Court. The participants have not filed a lawsuit in Louisiana State Court. The ordinary rules of the Louisiana State Court do not apply. Attorney Jacqueline Scott is a certified mediator for Cajun Court and not a Louisiana State Court Judge but will attempt to settle disputes in her capacity as a mediator on Cajun Court. Mediation is a method by which Attorney Jacqueline Scott will try to get both sides of the dispute to agree upon a settlement. Cajun Court is not an ordinary legal judicial proceeding.
